After retiring from my career in engineering at an oil field service company, I knew I wanted to do something with quilting. I had been quilting for over 25 years and collecting quilts even longer. My true love of antique quilts has always influenced my own quilting style.

A Dear Friend had a quilt restoration business and asked me to help her and then encouraged me to start my own business. I read everything I could find on the subject and took workshops from a nationally recognized restorer and museum textile conservator. I practiced by restoring some of my own quilts and absolutely fell in love with the process.

The happiest moment for me is giving a quilt back to the family who thought it was a lost cause. I had one customer call me crying the night I returned her quilt to her. She told me how grateful she was to be sleeping under Mom's quilt again for the first time in years. Others have sent me Thank You notes and photos of their quilts proudly displayed in their homes.

For me, this is why I love to restore these precious heirlooms. I want to give them back to the families that cherish them so they can be loved and displayed in the manner in which they were intended.
